Why Headshots in Scottsdale Books by Appointment, Almost Anytime
A studio with a schedule, not a studio with hours
Most photography studios run a sign on the door: open these hours, closed everything else. I don't. Headshots in Scottsdale works by appointment, almost anytime — which in practice means mornings before your first meeting, lunch breaks, evenings after the office empties out, and the occasional Sunday when that's genuinely the only slot that works.
Why I built it this way
A headshot is rarely the thing people plan around. It's the errand that gets squeezed in between everything else that actually has a deadline. If my calendar only opened from nine to five on weekdays, I'd be asking clients to take time off work to get a photo meant to represent them at work — which never sat right with me.
So instead, when someone calls needing a session, the first question isn't "are we open then." It's "does that time work for you." If it does, we build the session around it.
Who this actually helps
This flexibility matters most for people with real scheduling pressure: executives whose calendars are managed in fifteen-minute blocks, actors who get a casting call with almost no notice, real estate agents between showings, medical staff on rotating shifts. I've shot headshots before a 7 a.m. flight and after a 7 p.m. closing. Appointment-based doesn't mean slower — it usually means faster, because we're not waiting on a studio calendar to catch up with your life.
What "almost anytime" doesn't mean
It's not a promise that I'm available at 3 a.m., and it's not a same-day guarantee for every request — though I've accommodated plenty of short-notice bookings when something came up unexpectedly. What it does mean is that when you reach out, we have an actual conversation about your schedule instead of handing you a rigid list of open hours and hoping one fits.
How to book a time that works for you
If you need a headshot and your calendar looks impossible, reach out anyway. Tell me what you're working with, and we'll find a slot.
